About Me

I am a native Texan who has been involved in the field of Criminal Law for more than 29 years.

From 1988 to 1989, while a law student, I worked as an intern at the Harris County District Attorney's Office.  I worked in the Criminal Appeals and Post-Conviction Writs of Habeas Corpus Divisions.

I am a 1989 graduate of South Texas College of Law.  I received my State of Texas law license in May 1990.

In 1990 and 1991, I worked as an Assistant County Attorney for the Williamson County Attorney's Office in Georgetown, Texas.  My primary responsibility was juvenile prosecution.  This work involved the prosecution of both misdemeanor and felony cases.

I opened my law firm in Austin, Texas in 1991.  Since that time, it has been my continued privilege to represent the citizens of our great State from traffic tickets and administrative license hearings and expunctions of criminal records, all the way up to murder, manslaughter, sexual assault, robbery and kidnapping.  I have worked extensively with clients that suffer from mental illness.  I have many years experience in jail releases and bail bond procedures.

I am an active member of the following professional organizations:
  • College of the State Bar Of Texas
  • Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association
  • Austin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association
  • Austin Bar Association
  • National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers
  • Texas Independent Bar Association

I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best criminal defense allowed under the law.  Put my experience to work for you.
